I have an associate's degree in General Studies from Lorain County Community College, a bachelor's in French and International Studies from Baldwin-Wallace College, and a master's degree in French from Bowling Green State University. I spent my junior year in college studying in Paris, France, where I earned two certificates in French. While studying at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), I spent a year in Tours, France, studying at a French university, then came back to the United States where I taught a French Culture class during the completion of my M.A. Since that time, I've also taught French 1 and 2 at both BGSU and a local community college. I use a very traditional approach to teaching, since memorization is very important in learning a new language, but I also try to make my classes fun by showing French films, discussing French culture, and even sharing some of my personal experiences from when I was in school in France.I live in Parma, Ohio, where I spend my free time with family and friends, journaling, working on craft projects, and hanging out with my dog. I'm an avid traveler who has made many trips to both France and other European countries.
